A premier lottery and gaming solutions company, Scientific Games, has named Amy Steinman as its new Chief People Officer. As a vital part of the executive team, Amy will manage all human resources functions for the organization’s 3,000 staff members spread over 16 nations.

Amy contributes over 25 years of comprehensive experience to Scientific Games, largely from Koch Industries, where she held numerous management positions. Significantly, she directed the incorporation of Infor, a multi-tenant SaaS enterprise, into Koch Industries. Her proficiency encompasses structural design, talent cultivation, and nurturing a cooperative worldwide work environment.

Amy’s professional journey also includes HR leadership positions at Invensys and Georgia-Pacific. Her notable history includes pioneering digital and procedural transformations, crafting change management tactics, and propelling business outcomes.

Pat McHugh, Chief Executive Officer of Scientific Games, conveyed his excitement, remarking, “Amy is a seasoned and energetic HR executive with a breadth of knowledge across all areas of human resources. Her demonstrated success in constructing thriving, high-achieving global teams and industry-specific operational frameworks will be essential as we continue to expand Scientific Games.” He continued, “The entire executive leadership group is enthusiastic about partnering with Amy and reaching even greater achievements collectively.”

This news follows Scientific Games’ recent extension of its partnership with the Kansas Lottery in May 2024, where the company will furnish its cutting-edge instant game administration system.

This contract represents a significant victory for Scientific Games, a prominent technology provider within the gaming sector. They are making a substantial commitment to the Kansas Lottery, delivering a comprehensive range of services encompassing portfolio management, data analysis, and even assistance with retail and marketing endeavors.

A crucial element of this partnership involves deploying Scientific Games’ state-of-the-art SCiQ retail platform to lottery vendors throughout Kansas. This system aims to optimize the handling of instant-win tickets, simplifying operations for all parties involved. The initial duration of the agreement is five years, with the possibility of a five-year extension thereafter.

This announcement follows closely on the heels of Scientific Games securing an extension for another major agreement – their enduring collaboration with the New York Lottery, spanning nearly five decades! They will maintain their role as the primary vendor for scratch-off tickets, reinforcing their status as a dominant force within the lottery industry.
