This development follows the February 2022 authorization of sports betting and enhances BetMGM’s existing physical sportsbook at the Casino del Mar within San Juan’s La Concha Resort.
The application provides a variety of wagering choices, encompassing pre-game, in-play, futures, and combination bets. To enroll, individuals in Puerto Rico must physically present identification papers at the resort’s BetMGM Sportsbook.
Sigfrido De Jesús, Casino del Mar’s General Manager, lauded the introduction, asserting that it positions Puerto Rico at the forefront of the sports wagering sector and will favorably influence the Treasury Department’s income. He underscored their dedication to enhancing the sports betting encounter through dependable and intuitive technology.
This announcement follows closely on BetMGM’s recent initiation of in-person sports betting in Massachusetts. Beyond sports wagering, BetMGM will merge with MGM Rewards, enabling online patrons in Massachusetts to exchange gaming incentives for experiences at MGM Resorts across the nation.
Casino del Mar, partnering with governmental bodies and industry leaders such as BetMGM, has pioneered a new era in Puerto Rican entertainment by becoming the inaugural establishment to provide wireless sports wagering on the island.
