Andrew McIver has rejoined the world of gaming! He is taking on the role of Chief Executive Officer at Intertain, a company where he previously held a board position. This comeback coincides with a series of executive transitions, including Neil Goulden assuming the Chairman of the Board role.
McIver possesses extensive experience, having spearheaded Sportingbet as CEO prior to its purchase by GVC Holdings (currently known as Entain, a major player in online wagering). He also enjoyed a fruitful period at Chroma Sports, a firm specializing in sports technology.
This appointment comes on the heels of John Kennedy FitzGerald’s departure, who resigned after Intertain shifted its priorities from acquisitions to operational efficiency. FitzGerald’s exit followed a report from Spruce Point Management, which highlighted concerns regarding Intertain’s business practices and FitzGerald himself.
Amuse is refuting a publication alleging the firm is encountering fiscal strain.
An Intertain representative declared the article “fundamentally flawed.” They emphasized the vast expertise of their Chairman, Neil Goulden, who has held executive roles at prominent gaming entities such as Gala Coral. Goulden’s background, they contend, makes him highly capable of guiding the company toward a prosperous future.
Separately, Amuse also revealed a change within their leadership group. Keith Laslop, the current financial chief, will be assuming the position of Head of Intertain Bahamas. Laslop will maintain his CFO responsibilities until a successor is appointed.
These events follow Amuse’s purchase of Gamesys’ consumer-facing holdings last year for £4.258 billion, a transaction that considerably broadened their footprint in the internet gaming sector.
