## Finch Tapped to Helm Star Entertainment’s Brisbane Gaming Venue

Veteran tourism and hospitality leader, Daniel Finch, is poised to spearhead Star Entertainment’s endeavor in Brisbane. Finch will assume the position of Chief Executive Officer for the Brisbane location in mid-February 2024, subject to the required regulatory green lights.

Finch contributes over two decades of proficiency, commencing his trajectory in 2000 at London’s renowned Millennium Mayfair Hotel. His professional path is distinguished by notable tenures, encompassing positions such as Director of Sales at Sofitel Brisbane and overseeing national sales, revenue optimization, and strategic planning for Constellation Hotel Group. Most recently, he held the mantle of General Manager for Expedia Australia for close to a decade.

Finch’s designation follows Jessica Mellor’s elevation to Chief Executive Officer of the Gold Coast division in October. This transition signifies that Star Entertainment will have dedicated CEOs for each of its properties in Sydney, Gold Coast, and Brisbane. Robbie Cooke, the Group CEO and Managing Director, emphasized the value of Finch’s knowledge in new hotel openings, particularly critical as Star Entertainment readies to debut its new Brisbane casino and the Queen’s Wharf development. The quest for a Sydney CEO is also in progress.

Sparrow is thrilled to join the company at a crucial juncture, labeling the Star Brisbane launch as a landmark event in the organization’s journey. He’s eager to immediately begin work and assemble a group that provides an exceptional encounter for the countless guests anticipated annually. His sights are set high, aiming for a five-star standard for each visitor. Sparrow formally assumes his new position in the middle of February.
