ComplianceOne Group, a firm specializing in iGaming regulatory adherence, has become a member of the Netherlands Online Gambling Association (NOGA). This action follows the establishment of a Dutch office by ComplianceOne in January 2022, showcasing their dedication to the expanding Dutch online gaming market.

NOGA holds a crucial position in the Dutch gambling sector, promoting a responsible industry and representing the interests of licensed providers. The association boasts a membership consisting of industry giants such as Flutter, Entain, and Kindred Group, along with other important stakeholders. ComplianceOne’s inclusion further bolsters NOGA’s standing and knowledge base, particularly considering the recent collaboration between ComplianceOne’s subsidiary, Diligence in Gaming, and the prominent Dutch operator Smart Gamings.

Mike de Graaff, a key figure at Diligence in Gaming, stressed the significance of this membership for ComplianceOne, noting that it enables them to better assist their clients in navigating the dynamic Dutch regulatory environment. Peter-Paul de Goeij, Managing Director of NOGA, enthusiastically welcomed ComplianceOne, emphasizing their valuable proficiency in regulatory and technical compliance. This alliance signifies a commitment to ethical gambling practices and sustained expansion within the Dutch online gambling industry.

The chief of the Netherlands’ gaming authority issued a firm caution to companies earlier this year. René Jansen essentially instructed them to improve their performance in safeguarding gamblers. This followed a phase of intensified enforcement and regulatory revisions.

Jansen emphasized that mere compliance with the minimum requirements is inadequate. He stated, “I have been engaging with these licensed operators since the implementation of the updated regulations in 2021, and my message remains consistent: Do not assume that simply ticking the boxes will suffice.”
